Still Tuesday

So our boy sent me a text- Nabal is drunk. No new news. Well he ran into people from our town and he's 2 hours away. Spanish people that he knows, who happen to be working down there. People who are very faithful christian people in our town. Seems his first reaction was that he was annoyed that he could not continue his drinking. In the end Nabal was so sloshed the siren's call from his bottle overcame him and he just drank while they were there! He had the protege and young Pablo to drink with. Our boy has this for evening's entertainment. Well, bless Pete after the folks left the Protege wanted to fight Pablo... and they did. Pablo won the first fight. The Protege picked up a bottle to use as a club for the second fight. He put it down saying, "The devil is tempting me." So where is Nabal in all this. Texting- he couldn't be bothered. He was using the Protege's phone. Nabal is way over his allotted number of text for this month and I think he believes that the Protege has more. They share 250. Right now he is about $50 over, and at 20¢ per over his plan. He has texted about 500 text. This is a person who didn't even know how to text before last Thanksgiving.

I just don't like Pablo, well not really don't like. I do not trust him. There is something dead in his eyes.Tonight he and Nabal were having swimming races there at the lake. Drunk. Our boy was readying himself incase he had to save one of them. You see no matter how drunk Nabal gets, Pablo is always less drunk. There is a competition there and the younger does not respect Nabal. Nabal can't see this. I am getting a feeling that this boy may be dangerous in that he wants to take Nabal down by lulling him into trust. Pablo, when he thinks no one is looking looks at Nabal with contempt. I think this is where the fights between him and the Protege stem from. The Protege really looks up to Nabal and seeks to emulate him, Pablo on the other hand sees Nabal as a weak old sot a caricature of who Nabal thinks he appears to be. Image is everything to him. His insecurities push him to folly. Pablo wants to oust the old alpha dog. And Nabal doesn't even see it coming. These young men are in their 20's. Nabal is in his 40's and he is trying to act like he is a cool, hip young playboy. Again because of his insecurities- Nabal is in his mid 40's and really believes that his life is over, that he is too old. Why didn't he just buy a motorcycle...
